As next-generation Wi-Fi promises faster, smarter connectivity in 2026, we must pause and ask a more urgent question: are we making our children safer — or more exposed? In homes across the country, families sit together yet exist worlds apart, separated by screens that connect them to everyone except each other. Safer Internet Day is not about fearing technology — it is about recognising that as digital access grows, parental awareness and involvement must grow with it. Our children do not need unlimited access. They need guidance, boundaries rooted in love, and adults who are present enough to protect them.
